Senor, here we do things slow.
Check out this most wonderful darkly romantic song ever written, complete with haunting guitar strumming. (It is audio only, so please open it and continue to read the post while you listen.)
Today, is Dia de los Muertos, a day in Mexico, to honour and remember with love, the dead. I am fond of this holiday, though I've not celebrated it before, this is my first official celebration. The dead are fondly remembered today through the eating of their favourite foods, listening to their favourite music, and reminiscing with loved ones. Some families spend the night at the grave site of their departed loved ones. Tributes of food, music and more are left at ofrendas, or altars dedicated to the deceased. It is a bright, happy holiday celebrating the lives of ones now passed. I made the little altar you see pictured here...my own personal tribute to family. I will remember them today in my own way. :)
