As I fell asleep last night, thoughts lingered over a few pages written by Christine Miller in her extraordinary book "Ordinary Sparkling Moments"...this woman I already know is coming into focus-she is adding layers of depth to her already multifaceted wonderfulness. A week in the Middle East with her wasn't enough to scratch the surface, so I'm thankful I picked up this incredibly inspiring book at long last, written by one of the most funny and engaging people ever to pick up a paint brush.
This morning I wandered out to photograph my robin and her eggs. Woe was me when I found that she had tossed one out. Turfed it. Chucked it. There was a mild sadness to this discovery, as I bent down and gently picked up the egg. In a feeble attempt to let the little creature live forever, I snapped a picture or two. I then bent down, whispered a tiny prayer and tucked it into a leafy green plant out of the way of little children's footsteps and hungry squirrels.
Life is fleeting. Yet if we look around we see so much beauty crammed into every space, every gust of wind carries more love and each sunset sparkles more brilliantly than the last. {Each robin egg more blue than the last.} I suppose the trick is to keep seeing it. Keep expecting it. Never stop looking, searching, wanting and needing it. {For beauty equals LOVE, and there is beauty in all things}
On another note...I've changed my "blog-look" for the hot summer months. I shed my colourful wear for a clean white linen dress...do you like it? I hope to be easy breezy for awhile until this place needs to warm up again. {I'll return to the beloved banner designed by the oodly talented miss Vineeta of artnlight} It is my hope that my photographs show well on this blank Zen-like clean slate. It has been a time for spring cleaning, inside and outside the house. I suppose this online change is reflective of where I am emotionally and mentally. I need clarity. I also need to paint. I'm off to the art shop...
However, tomorrow I'll be back with more dreams....xoxo
