I put more effort into the gift buying, than the wrapping. As you can clearly see from the photo above. However I am a sucker for thick, expensive wrapping paper. {Like this stuff on Olivia's gift above. I adore the little owls and there are deer too but you can't see them in this shot.} You can guess why. Right, because the flimsy stuff rips when I use it! I am an aggressive, fast wrapper. I have limited time, and need to get the job done.
So all gets wrapped, hastily. Then tucked away with just a candy cane unceremoniously taped to the top and a tag so I know who gets it. Then, on Christmas eve, when the children are nestled all snug in their beds, I pull out all the ribbons and bows and doll up the gifts before they get placed under the tree. Voila! It looks like I put far more effort into it than I actually did.
Then Christmas morning, the wrap is ripped off in a flash of pure excitement and it really doesn't matter anyway does it?
Here is a gift you can give that doesn't need wrapping, the best kind of gift. {Careful, it gets addictive!}
Nighty night, see you soon. xoxo
Hey there, Chick-a-dee! I just donated 210 grains of rice! Woo-hoo!! You're right, it IS addicting!
Btw, I love the wrapping paper and the mini candycane. Yes, yes, I can feel the love...all the way from Miami!
Besos y abrazos de tu amiguita... xo

I got up to 290 rice kernals and could have kept going.
Great idea to wrap and then do the bows later. I put off the wrapping until the last day. I may be in trouble and they will look a mess because I was in a hurry. Merry Christmas!

the first few gifts are so beautifully done and then i begin to lose patience. the process is taking too long, other tasks are calling out to me and then the paper rips. lol. happy holidays gillian.

There was a phase in my life when I took great pains to wrap presents beautifully. I even bought tulle and satin ribbon and spent hours wrapping gifts. I still do, on occasion, but mostly I just wrap them quickly with the nearest thing at hand, tie it with ribbon and that's it. It's the thought, not the packaging. Love to you! xoxox

Stopping in with warmest wishes to you and yours dearest Blue. I have taken great pains at wrapping gifts, only to have them opened in nothing flat...those kids want to get to the goods inside.8-)
May your day be merry and bright!
love you all
