4,224 words for NaNoWriMo.
Here is an excerpt: {shhhh!}
"Don’t get me wrong. I was cute. Smart. I had dreams as a child of opening my own beauty salon, or becoming an archaeologist who dug up the Egyptian sands. I had a skinny frame, cocoa skin, full lips and luscious long, black shiny hair. I had my pretty physical attributes. But as you know, I never felt seen. Never felt SEEN. Never mind that I was quick witted, great with prose, a nurturing woman who could cook for goodness sakes! Never mind that I was in love with music, with cats, with life. With my friends. Encouraging them. Loving them. Allowing them to drain me like a cheap sponge whenever they needed love or advice or guidance. My wisdom was valued. I had insights the rest of them didn’t seem to possess. They looked to me if their marriages were suffering, if they needed a funny one-liner, if they needed to feel great. I had become an expert on how to make everyone else feel better. So then I wondered often and wondered long, when will I feel great? When will it be my turn?"
November 30 I shall be done. This is from Chapter TWO.
It is a semi-autobiographical literary work of fiction. So, some is true, some ain't!!!!
:)
Talk soon loves, please leave words of encouragement, you never know when your words will be called upon to assist in the architecture of a novel.

Judie thank you for your vote of confidence! Not sure about that, just writing my truth which seems to be flowing so easily. I get now why people say to write about what you know. I've got all the required research done baby!!! LOL
xoxo
p.s. I would hope to be a fraction as good as Liz Gilbert.
