Thank you for the very adorable pocket mirror. I love red mary janes!
xox

Isn't that stained glass dynamite?

Gillian daSilva

Being Canadians, we must seek the colour in winter! But funny, when you look...it's everywhere, isn't it?

Right back at you Tara...enjoying the last day of the Bush administration? xox

Graciel @ Evenstar Art

You look smashing in the twin to my vintage apron. I'll be strapping mine on tomorrow for morning glory muffins and big pots of apple sauce.

Love your post. xo

Karen Cole

Quite a beautiful tapestry you've got there, Gillian.

My world is pretty darn colorful at the moment. I'm very much looking forward to tomorrow and our new president.

gemma

This post is a great example of why I love reading your blog. It is in layers just like batik. Beautiful coloured glass, a lovely apron, window with a snowy view and Sundays at home. Four project looks cool too.

Scarlet

The coloured glass is beautiful, especially the red star. I love it!

Your apron rocks and the fact that you cook fresh tomato sauce makes you TOPS in my book, little lady. Bravo!

If only I could have a view like yours from my dining room window. Life is SO not fair!!

Gracie!~
I was trying to come up with a name for her, now I know!
Gemini!!! The twin! LOL
I'll call her Gemmy for short.
Can you post photos of the baking for us?

Gillian daSilva

Karen
I'll bet your world is colourful. We ended up baking those brownies after all....oops.
To celebrate tomorrow with, brownies and tea, white house style!
So looking forward to our worlds future, with Barack Obama sending out the first ripple on the lake of change.

Thanks wise woman, from you I'll take that as the highest compliment.
Yes, the Four is awesome, you will enjoy it I think. You should participate in it Gem!! The challenges are open to anyone, they'd love to see you try some postings with your camera and your particularly beautiful view of the world from Arizona.

Actually honey, it's a scarlet star!!!
Yup, fresh tomato sauce...it was delish. I have some leftover, which as you know, will taste even better than the original.
Okay, it is official; we are trading views!! I'll take some Miami sand and sun.
xoxo

Thank you for the glimpse into your rich world. Mine is a lovely multi cultural, art filled one, made even more wonderful with my baby back home!! She's tapping, I'm flamenco-ing we're ALL dancing and smiling in anticipation of TOMORROW!!

Girl, your blog is just the neatest place, I always feel wrapped up in nice things when I am here.

I am back from England without losing my head, though I did see the Tower of London.

i have exactly that same typewriter. A. wrote his thesis on it many years ago. one peck at a time. ours has very interesting patent dates on it on the back. in fact you may have inspired a post for me!!

susanna's sketchbook

Oh, I so enjoyed reading this post and seeing your photos. I just talked with Maddie last night and I can just imagine you all hanging out with one another in Vancouver. And you know what? I have a similar typewriter sitting on the living floor. I just love the heavy, industrial look of it, especially with the red ribbon all tangled inside. I do love ribbons. And that red star is beautiful. I do love red. :)

soul aperture

Why don't I have such a beautiful apron. I must look into getting one. It has to make cooking, more glorious!

The fields and dreams, sound delicious. : )

rhayne

Oh! There it is again! And you got it on this side of the country....so that means that if I can't find the ones I was looking for in Victoria, all I have to do is jump on the ferry.
:):)

Gillian daSilva

Yes! Rayne it is from Granville. Oh to go back, I'm working on it.

If I get out there this spring I'll let you know, you can meet up with Mads
and I for tea and photography. Xo
