The Alchemist is one of my all time favorite books. So many lovely messages.

Much, much light and love to you and yours, Gill. xoxo

Gillian daSilva

Thank you Steph. I should have known that it would be your kind of book.
I appreciate the light, and will pass it on to those I love.
xoxo

Maithri

soeurs du jour

I will keep you in my thoughts.

linni

Love how you 'just so dip the cookie in the tea'...how you just so write a few words with a photo and make magic! Thinking of you...and trusting the process as it unfolds xx

Gillian daSilva

Thanks everyone.
xo We appreciate your support.

Have I missed a very important post? Are you O.K.? I will keep you right beside my heart until I hear. My Sister-in-Law tells me the book is so much better in spanish. I wish I could read it. I've read the english version and it is magical. xo

Gillian daSilva

Thank you Linni, I feel rather helpless right now.

Sometimes (unfortunately) I turn to sweet food like cookies for a crutch.

BTW, they are gone. My kids had a few each and I had the rest. Not good
:-(

xo

Gillian daSilva

Hey Lib
No, I didn't tell you guys what it was.
We are deeply concerned about my dad's health. The next few weeks will be very important for us.
We are hoping that you all keep us in your thoughts.
xoxo

Shay

Mmmmm, cinnamon cookies! :-) May I have one?

Gillian daSilva

Burp! Sorry Shay :-) All gone.

Emotional eating, you know? ;)

I'm making another batch next week, and when you use Becel instead of
butter, the water makes them puff up nicely.

Almost like fluffy texture! (Take them out of the oven two minutes early and
they have a chewier texture. Mmm!)

Gillian daSilva

Thanks ladies. xox

Gillian daSilva

Hi Rebecca, hope you are enjoying your Thanksgiving! xo

Gillian daSilva

Tara,

Only 5 sleeps!!! Can you tell I'm excited? ;)

Gillian daSilva

Doctor M

Gillian daSilva

Yes, I recommended it to someone again today. I can't stop promoting this
book.

I feel like Oprah. Only without as much money. :-)

Graciel @ Evenstar Art

I am holding the light of healing and love for your Dad...and the same will be held for my Mom as she joins in the dreaded/helpful chemotherapy in a few weeks. I'm calling all Angels, Gillian.

Heather

I had been wondering what was happening with your Dad but didn't want to bother your mom with a bunch of questions. Thank you for posting this update. All of you have been in my prayers throughout.

The Alchemist has always been a favourite of mine - I'm so glad you're enjoying it. I recommend it to almost everyone I meet and can't believe I never mention it to you! Would you mind posting the cookie recipe or sending it to me? xoxoxox

Gillian daSilva

Thank you so much.
xo

Gillian daSilva

I'll send it to you Heather.
I'll email you soon. xox Thank you for thinking of us. :)

Bohemian mom

Those pics are absolutely delicious!
Love and prayers being sent out to the universe for your dad.
(((hugs)))

tangobaby

Sending you and your family lots of love and hopes for your father's recovery and good health.

Cinnamon

Try using real Cinnamon in your recipe and reduce on the sugar. The Cinnamon sold in the US is actually Cassia.

Cassia has a chemical called coumarin which could be toxic. Please click the link below to read more.

I wish I had known this!
Thank you for the information.
I will look for "real" cinnamon in future.

Butch

Wishing your father the best going through these times. I hope his therapy works well for him.

Scarlet

I had no idea, my friend. I am praying for all of you; a special prayer though for your papi.

The Alchemist was highly recommended and I enjoyed it...but like Eat, Pray, Love it left me wanting more. See if you get the same reaction.

With love and my best thoughts and wishes...para ti, tu mama y tu papa...Ily
